Valentin shopping centre

Extension and refurbishing  of the shopping centre located in École Valentin (25), near Besançon, on an occupied site.
Following an agreement for preliminary studies, Beg ingénierie was responsible for work management, supervision and the delegation of project management within the framework of a property development contract. The site is co-owned by  MRM (shopping mall) and Carrefour Property (hypermarket).

  • A southward extension of 3,200 sq. m of the mall in the area formerly occupied by the cafetaria
  • Development of 22 shops, a medium-sized store, as well as a restaurant and service area
  • Construction of an overhead silo car park on the southern  part of the site in the extension of the main building
  • Modifications to the car park in line with the new configuration of the building

On this building site,  a lot of strong constraints were generated by the commercial activity, with the presence of a drive up, the proximity of the motorway, as well as the flow of pedestrians and cars. The operation was phased to minimize the impact on the customers and the employees and to ensure their safety.
