The Place du Martroi

Developed in the 1980s, The significantly degraded Place du Martroi had become unsuitable.
In order to restore it to its former status as a royal square, a place of great symbolic value in the heart of the city centre and its shops, the City of Orléans entrusted its “Requalification” and that of the adjacent streets to the LAVERNE/BEG Ingénierie Group

  • Pavement: 5,000 tonnes (more than 330,000 cobblestones)
  • The fountain : a 56 m² room equipped with  27 pumps
  • The landscape : 12 Hungarian oaks of 35 years old
