Transformation of Nancy’s former Palais des Congrès
Left derelict for over 10 years, Nancy’s former Palais des Congrès, located in the city center, has been completely transformed to accommodate a leisure center.
The 4,500 m² project is part of a dynamic urban redevelopment process that began with the renovation of the adjoining shopping mall, to be carried out by BEG Ingénierie in 2023.
Each of the 4 levels has been designed as a stand-alone space, with different functions:
– An escape game and karaoke rooms
– A food court
– A virtual reality space
– A coworking space
This project required extensive restructuring, including interior demolition, the creation of new intermediate floors, and the complete fitting-out of all spaces, all while adapting to the severe technical constraints of an enclosed site surrounded by housing.
The project was designed and implemented by BEG Ingénierie, in a consortium with Guerin & Pedroza Architectes, on behalf of Groupe Deromedi.
